The Young Athlete Program was created to meet the physical and development needs of children, ages 2 ½ to 7, in the areas of physical activity and play, with an emphasis on sports skill development.

Special Olympics Young Athlete Program

This is a sports program for children with Special Needs and Disabilities, ages 2 ½ - 7 years old. Kyle was born with Pierre Robin Syndrome and he was also born with no thigh bones or hip joints (PFFD) and has severe short stature. Kyle’s many developmental issue’s Do Not hold him back from his drive to be a “child at play”. Kyle plays hockey, baseball, basketball soccer, and bowling. Kyle major milestone is now his can roller skate. Sports has made a difference in his life, and has allowed his “Abilities” to shine through his everyday challenges in life.
